Jiaflix Enterprises was founded by Sid Ganis, Marc Ganis and Kenneth Huang. The company specializes in movie-related business. Since 2011, Jiaflix is in exclusive partnership with China Movie Channel and M1905.com along a variety of movie related initiatives including internet and new media distribution of foreign and Chinese domestic films in China, distribution of Chinese films internationally via the internet and new media platforms, movie industry education programs in China, production of films in China and strategic partnerships with major international studios such as with Paramount for the movie Transformers 4. Jiaflix is in business with a number of major film studios and distributors including MGM and Paramount. Jiaflix, in partnership with China Movie Channel, was officially named as the production partner of Transformers 4 by Paramount.
The Chairman of Jiaflix is Sid Ganis, past President of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences(the Oscars ), who has held a number of the most prestigious positions in Hollywood includingPresident of Paramount Pictures, President of marketing and distribution at Columbia Pictures(Sony), senior executive of LucasFilm during the Star Wars and Indiana Jones movies, and on the board of directors of Marvel Entertainment as it developed its film business which resulted in Spider-Man, Iron Man, and Avengers, among others. Sid led and has been instrumental in the development of the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures, which will be the world's premier museum devoted to exploring and curating the history and future of the moving image. He was recently honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award at the 2013 Gabby Awards. Sid also serves as Co-Chairman of the New York Chinese Film Festival.
